Public Health – As introduced, requires the commissioner of health to submit an electronic copy of the annual report on immunization rates of children, by county, to the governor and the speakers of the senate and the house of representatives.

Caption Bill – The amendment rewrites the bill to prevent healthcare facilities from coercing parents of newborns to vaccinate their children before leaving the hospital. It also requires parents to be notified that religious exemptions are available for vaccination requirements in the state of Tennessee.

Amends TCA Title 14; Title 37, Chapter 10, Part 4; Title 49 and Title 63.
